HNTB Names Marx Project Manager, PTC Systems

HNTB Corporation has named Aaron Marx project manager, Positive Train Control (PTC) systems. Marx, who has 15 years of experience providing design, PTC and signaling solutions for the private and public sectors, will serve as a technical resource for HNTB with private and public sector clients across the United States.

Marx has managed background qualification and system integration testing; directed defect diagnosis, resolution and closeout; overseen overall system performance; and managed grade crossing design on national high-profile projects.

“We’re pleased to welcome Aaron to HNTB’s expanding transit team,” said Ian Choudri, HNTB national rail and transit business development director and senior vice president. “His experience and outstanding technical expertise will increase our ability to provide infrastructure solutions to our clients in the growing transit and rail sectors.”

Prior to joining HNTB, he served another consulting firm as deputy project manager for Caltrain PTC CBOSS. Additionally, he has worked with rail transit agencies and freight railroads, including Denver’s Eagle P3/RTD, Genesee & Wyoming, BNSF Railway Company and Union Pacific Railroad.

Marx earned a bachelor of fine arts in industrial design from the University of Wisconsin - Stout.
