Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will begin service on a new portion of the Dallas Streetcar on Monday, August 29.
The extension, just under one mile, reaches the Bishop Arts District and features two stops at Zang Boulevard at 6th Street, and between Davis and Seventh Streets (Bishop Arts). Hours remain 9:30 a.m. to midnight, but service is improved to every 20 minutes along the entire 2.4-mile, 6 stop Dallas Streetcar service area.
With the streetcar extension, Route 722 (D-Link) bus service becomes an expanded downtown-only service and no longer goes to Oak Cliff. The current southern loop over Davis and Jefferson is being replaced by New Route 723 Bishop Arts Service.
New timetables and schedules are available before August 29.
