Mudge Named R. J. Corman Railroad Group Interim President & CEO

The R. J. Corman Board of Trustees has appointed Fred Mudge to serve as R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC interim president and chief executive officer. The Board of Trustees has been working to find the best individual to permanently fill the president and chief executive officer role vacated by Craig King upon his recent retirement.

Mudge, who has been with the company for 17 years, currently serves as chairman of the Board. Prior to joining R. J. Corman, he was employed in the aluminum business and served as Kentucky’s secretary of transportation.

“I am looking forward to guiding the company through the transition following Mr. King’s retirement,” Mudge said. “I encourage our employees and customers to treat this transition as a non-event. Our primary goal is to focus on our Vision and Mission Statements for guidance and to restore our intensity in doing so.”

The Board will continue considerations for a highly qualified and capable president and chief executive officer and plans to complete the search within the next 60 to 90 days. Mudge will then return to his seat as chairman of the Board.
