Watco Supply Chain Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Watco Companies, has acquired BCM Logistics, LLC, based in Clearfield, Utah. BCM provides door to door intermodal service, operating as an Intermodal Marketing Company, contracting directly with the Class I Railroads and a majority of ocean carriers for repositioning of containers in domestic service.
“We are excited to bring the BCM Logistics team members into the Watco family,” said Lynda Patterson, vice president growth strategies at Watco Supply Chain Services. “This team adds a tremendous talent base that understands intermodal and most importantly, understands the value of putting the customer first.”
“As intermodal continues to be the fastest-growing mode of transportation in the United States, Watco Supply Chain Services, a rail heritage company, is well positioned to offer our customers mode alternatives to ensure our customers’ supply chains are optimized,” added Patterson. “In addition, the cross-border intermodal niche the BCM Logistics team brings, further differentiates Watco Supply Chain Services in this sector.”
BCM Logistics was founded in 2001 by Mike and Chad Schilleman.
“I am excited that our team will be able to aide in the growth of the Watco Supply Chain Services intermodal product while continuing to expand and offer a broader service portfolio to our most valued asset, our customers,” said Chad Schilleman, BCM Logistics owner.
