Salco Adds New Team Members to Engineering and Technical Group

Salco Products, Inc. has announced that Carl S. Hybinette, Phil Goginsky, Roberto Sanchez and Dennis Allbritten have joined its Engineering and Technical Consulting Services Group.

Carl Hybinette

Hybinette has more than 40 years of experience in the rail industry. He will provide Salco’s customers with expertise in welding, weld engineering, metallurgy, railcar corrosion, and plant engineering and workflow.

Hybinette earned a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana, a master of metallurgical and materials engineering and an MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

He is the chair of the AAR Steels Task Force, which investigates steel related issues. Hybinette holds a patent (assigned to Union Tank Car) for a method of welding tank car tanks by Laser Hybrid Welding.

“We are extremely fortunate to gain an employee of Carl’s caliber,” said Vice President Salco Engineering and Technical Services Tom DeLafosse. “His industry knowledge in all things “rail,” especially in the tank car manufacturing and design, make him the perfect addition to the Salco Team.”

Phil Goginsky

Goginsky has more than 40 years of experience in the rail industry. Previously, he held several positions with GE, including manager customer service, systems analyst IT department, manager mobile/light repair, plant manager positions at both Kansas City Stateline Shop and Chicago Heights Wheel Shop, sales manager with GE Leasing Sales, and field service manager in the corporate QA department.

At Salco, he will specialize in car inspection services and asset valuation and supply expertise in shop quality assurance and invoice auditing.

Goginsky earned an associate’s degree in computer technology from Purdue University as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting from DePaul University, Chicago campus. He is a certified quality inspector, American Society for Quality (ASQ).

DeLafosse stated, “We are extremely fortunate to have Phil join us, his hands-on car and shop knowledge will add great value to our customers.”

Roberto Sanchez

Sanchez joins Salco with four years of experience in the rail industry and more than 15 years of experience in quality assurance in several different fields. He has experience in operations, inspections, regulations, auditing, training, NDT, and quality control.

In his new role, he will provide clients his car inspecting expertise.

He is fluent in Spanish and has written and translated many quality assurance programs and various procedures into Spanish.

Sanchez earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and psychology at the University of Houston. He has a doctorate in divinity and is an ordained minister. Sanchez has served on the board of Directors for the Shrine’s Children Hospital in Houston as well as the board of the Houston Masonic Library Museum.

Dennis Allbritten

Allbritten has more than 30 years of experience working in the rail industry, with knowledge in engineering, welding, and quality, including design, operations, regulations, auditing, maintenance, and repair of all types of railroad rolling stock.

He also served in the nuclear industry as a QA/QC engineer and lead auditor under ANSI N45.23 and Petro-Chemical as a reactor operator and loader/unloader.

At Salco, his responsibilities will include development of new business growth in the Technical Consulting Services group.
