Bombardier Transportation has appointed John Saabas head of engineering and technology, responsible for leading the company’s global technology and product development activities. Saabas will report directly to Bombardier Transportation President Danny Di Perna and will work closely with the senior leadership team to improve productivity, project execution and customer satisfaction.
Since 2009, Saabas has served as president at Pratt & Whitney Canada, where he has been employed for 35 years, holding a variety of leadership positions in engineering, manufacturing, operations and procurement.
He earned a PhD in aerodynamics from McGill University and a master’s and bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
