Michael K. Ogden has been promoted to president of Morton Manufacturing Company, the Libertyville, Ill.-based supplier of railroad products.
Ogden, who had been executive vice president, joined Morton Manufacturing in 1990 as sales manager, and was instrumental in the growth of both the industrial and railroad divisions, according to William C. Morton, the company's chairman. Before joining Morton, Ogden held several positions with Fullerton Metals Co. over a span of 12 years, and served as personnel officer for the Village of Winnetka for six years.
Ogden succeeds Jeffery W. Covert, who is retiring after a career at Morton that began in 1988.
Morton Manufacturing provides metal safety gratings and flooring for industrial, OEM, railroad freight car and locomotive end users.
