Savage, a supply chain solutions company, has opened a bulk material handling and rail transloading operation at the Iowa Trans Load Facility (TLF) in Davenport in the heart of the Quad Cities.
The new Savage operation will be in the TLF’s 10 acres of property and it will have direct access to the Canadian Pacific rail line. The TLF has more than 20 railcar spots and 20,000 square feet of indoor warehousing with indoor railcar and truck loading/unloading. Savage’s transload services include the handling, loading and distribution of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
“We are pleased to offer our services and transload expertise to the TLF’s existing and new customers,” said Savage’s VP Business Development Transload Solutions Unit Dan Price. “Transloading services at the TLF will allow companies in the greater Quad Cities a more flexible option to get their products to market.”
