On top of 27 locomotives already delivered, MotivePower, a subsidiary of Wabtec Corporation, has been awarded an $85 million option order to build 20 additional MPXpress® commuter locomotives for GO Transit in Toronto.
The additional locomotives will be built at MotivePower's facility in Boise, Idaho, and contain several components produced by other Wabtec subsidiaries, including braking equipment, relays, contactors, air compressors, brake shoes and radiators.
The 20 locomotives are scheduled to be delivered later this year and in 2010.
