Kansas City Southern (KCS) has appointed Darin Selby vice president intermodal operations and Ginger Adamiak vice president sales and marketing for the energy and short line relations business unit. Selby and Adamiak will report to Brain Hancock, vice president and chief marketing officer.

Union Pacific (UP) will invest approximately $85 million in its infrastructure in the state of Illinois this year, with $70 million to maintain railroad track and $10 million to maintain bridges. The investment is funded by UP, without taxpayer funds.
